Abstract
The authors summarized the implementation and performance issues of TMN from their combined 20-year working experience in actual TMN/OSI projects. These issues cover the range of various OSI protocol stacks, UNIX & real-time embedded agents as well as certain manager platforms. The progress of OSI protocol stacks, TMN development tools and TMN market status are also reviewed
