Abstract :
For the first time rigorous mathematical model is developed for TM modes in a coaxial cavity gyrotron. This theory has no restrictions and can be applied for any corrugation parameters and mode numbers. Simulation software has been developed to find eigen cut-off wave numbers and calculate electromagnetic field components for TM modes. Novel results of the simulations are presented for the ITER relevant 170GHz coaxial cavity gyrotron with the TE34,19 operating mode
