Abstract
This paper presents an improved method for harmonic detecting based on instantaneous reactive power theory. It changes the distribution of zero-pole by inserting a leading network in harmonic detecting system and the harmonic detecting system has the characters of ideal high-pass filter. For step change of load current, it can significantly reduce the response time without affecting steady state accuracy. The results of experiment verify that the method has high precision and dynamic response performance and it is correct and feasible.
