Abstract
This paper presents the study results about the effect of site and size factors on reliability of wind-diesel-battery power system to provide some helpful information for hybrid power system planning and optimization. All the studies were based on a new coefficient, equivalent forced outage rate (EFOR) of wind turbine generator (WTG), which provides comprehensive information of all WTG operation states, including well-being operation, derating operation, forced outage and maintenance, and takes wind speed fluctuant characteristics into account.
