Abstract
Many universities around the world have introduced, or are planning to introduce, undergraduate software engineering degrees. This report describes the proposed Bachelor of Engineering (Software Engineering) degree at the University of Newcastle, Australia. The aim of this degree is to produce graduates who are professional engineers specializing in software engineering. Therefore, we include in the curriculum a strong focus on software engineering, general engineering, and computer science
