Abstract
The international Vocabulary of metrology defines traceability like the property of a measurement result by which the measurand can be related to a reference by means of an uninterrupted and documented chain of comparisons, each one of which contributes to the measurement uncertainty. Basing on this definition we can speak of traceability like the succession of patterns and calibrations that relate a measurement result to a reference. The present work shows the importance of these concepts applied in the area of electromedical equipment, more specifically in the calibration of electrosurgery equipment. In this work also discuss the operation of electrosurgical equipment, the parameters being to calibrate by means of analyzers, how they instruments make the measurement of the parameters previously mentioned and the methods of calibration.
