Abstract
Advancements of MEMS technology has enabled the development of smart sensor. In order to gather sensing information from smart sensors, they can form the wireless network. Recently, various researches for the wireless sensor network are intensively suggested and developed. However, there has not addressed the research about the efficient base station design for increasing network management abilities and cooperating with other networks technologies. In this paper, we present the new embedded base station system which has enough hardware capacities to process the numerous sensing data and support various network technologies such as Ethernet, Bluetooth and WLAN. Moreover, we introduce the new communication protocol for interconnection between the proposed base station and sensor devices.
