Abstract
Zhejiang province is of the most serious red tide among all the coastal provinces in China. The confirmed ecological function, red tide control, of mangrove is difficult to achieve in Zhejiang for their single specie and limited area. This paper gives a comprehensive presentation of the basic condition and progress of mangrove artificial introduction and domestication experiment in Wenzhou, which is the north boundary of artificial introduction mangrove in China. This experiment proved that among the species studied, the adaptation of Kandelia candel and Acanthus ilicifolius are better, and Kandelia candel has the potential to be transplanted to a more northern area.
