Abstract
An important problem in power system dynamic and/or transient stability is to take into account the interactions existing among the stabilisers present in the power system, both classic power system stabilisers and novel FACTS device stabilisers. To solve this problem the authors suggest a new approach to simultaneously design multiple stabilisers. This paper illustrates a new model formulation of n-machine power system with FACTS devices installed as interconnected model. This model, differently respect to the classic approach, allows to quantify the interactions existing between machines and FACTS devices.
