Abstract
Chaotic phase synchronization of oscillations in two coupled electron-wave systems with a backward wave and cubic phase nonlinearity (backward wave tube, BWT, with a transverse field) has been studied. A new approach to the analysis of chaotic phase synchronization of distributed systems by means of a wavelet transform has been proposed. The physical processes which are responsible for the transition from asynchronous oscillations to the phase synchronization regime have also been considered.
