Abstract :
In order to simplify the calculation and implementation of controllers for a class of two-area power system, a sub-optimal control design method based on model reduction techniques is proposed in this paper. According to aggregation conditions of the inclusion principle, balanced method combined with singular value decomposition are used in order to obtain the scheme of sub-optimal control design. The simulation results show that the given method not only gets good characteristics, but also brings about computational and implementation simplifications.
