Abstract
A beam space antenna array processor is a two stage system where the weighted sum of beams formed at the first stage is used to produce the system output. The paper studies the performance of a two beam processor in the presence of broadband directional sources by using an improved beam formed at the first state. For narrowband signals this process completely cancels the unwanted interference. The paper derives the analytical results for the output signal and the signal to noise ratio spectral densities and presents examples to compare the theoretical results.
