Abstract :
The performance of a slow-frequency-hop system is analysed for a general frequency-selective fading channel that produces intersymbol interference (ISI). Results are obtained for several channel delay spectra to determine the range of multipath spreads for which ISI produces significant degradation in performance. The performance of the system with minimum-mean-square-error equalization is also studied to determine if equalization is effective
