Abstract
Dynamic routing of restorable bandwidth guaranteed path is an important issue in intelligent optical mesh networks. However, most of the previous work focus on the protection of single link failures in the network. This paper proposes a dynamic shared restorable path selection algorithm for surviving double-link failures. Specifically, it shows how much bandwidth needs to be reserved on the first and second backup paths respectively considering backup resource sharing. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm not only uses significantly less network resources than the dedicated algorithm, but also outperforms other existing dynamic shared algorithm for double-link failure protection
