Abstract :
In this paper, we propose and analyze an turbo coding scheme for optical CDMA systems. It is assumed that optical channel is an intensity modulated (IM) channel and direct-detection scheme is employed to detect the received optical signal. From simulation results, it is demonstrated that bit error probability (BEP) and throughput performance is substantially improved with the number of iterations for a fixed code rate and with alphabet size of pulse position modulation (PPM). Also, the BEP and throughput performance is significantly enhance with the number of iterations for decoding process.
