Abstract :
Bandwidth estimation is often an important problem to solve in the domain of spectrum survey or of synchronization. In this article, we propose an algorithm based on wavelet decomposition in order to estimate the bandwidth of an OFDM signal. We show that this kind of decomposition leads to good results and we provide some illustrating examples to show it. Actually by using “classical” wavelet decomposition (Morlet´s wavelet in our case), bandwidth is correctly estimated in 100% of the cases with an error lower than 8% until SNR=3 dB
