Abstract :
Power system secondary voltage control determines control actions based upon reference voltage values set for certain load buses called pilot buses. A key factor for the appropriate functioning of secondary voltage control schemes is the selection of those pilot buses. This paper describes and compares different methods to select the pilot buses. A case study based on the IEEE 118-bus system is provided
