Abstract :
This paper deals with Automatic Generation Control (AGC) of two area power system where in each area has thermal, hydro and gas power generation. The analysis is aimed at finding the proper governor speed regulation parameter(R) and participation factors for each of the generator type. Optimum controller parameters have been obtained for the PI state feed back controller. Simulation results are presented to demonstrate the dynamic response with the variation of generators participation factors and R value.
