Abstract :
Thyristor switched capacitor-thyristor controlled reactor (TSC-TCR) static VAr compensators are today widely used for supporting the voltage in AC distribution systems. In this paper, the stability of the closed loop part of such a compensator is investigated by using the recurrences theory. The nonlinear behaviour of the system is highlighted
