Abstract :
The location of DGs and RCSs have considerable impacts on network reliability and energy loss. This paper presents a GA based method to find the optimal size and location of DGs and optimal location of RCSs simultaneously to improve distribution network reliability and reduce energy loss. A multilevel load duration curve is considered for load points to achieve a better solution. Numerical results on IEEE 33 bus distribution network show satisfactory results.
