Abstract :
A modified full-swing noncomplementary BiCMOS (MFS-BiCMOS) buffer is described and its performance characteristics are investigated using SPICE simulations. The results obtained are compared with those of the conventional FS-BiCMOS and CMOS buffers. It is shown that among the three configurations investigated the proposed MFS-BiCMOS buffer is the most advantageous for low supply voltage applications and it guarantees speed advantage over FS-BiCMOS and CMOS buffers even with a 1.5 V supply
