Abstract :
An endocardial lead design, with multiple sensors spanning the lead, is presented. The advantage of this catheter design is that a single catheter is utilized to record both atrial and ventricular rhythms. Each sensor records composite atrial and ventricular complexes which are separated using two adaptive signal processing techniques: the impulse correlated filter algorithm, and the series feedback filter algorithm. The adaptive signal processing algorithms require only modest levels of computations, and are suitable for implantable pacemaker or cardioverter-defibrillator devices
