Abstract :
On a worldwide level, the reason why startup companies and enterprises have been in a phase of transition is mainly due to the conservative outlook of investing firms and stockholders regarding the profitability of these firms, i.e., the business model. Undergoing this revaluation process, firms are converging to the perception that as the business model is the most core element, developing a new innovative business model, i.e., the killer app is a significant issue. In this research, regarding the explosively growing e-commerce industry in relation to web and mobile environment, we categorize the business models according to various perspectives, and analyze these models from the perspective of web and mobile since developing an innovative business model ought to be the priority of firms. The competitive advantage from excellent business models can last for a short period and the prominent businesses can lose the competitive situation since they cannot adapt to changes or the business clock speed or innovations. The patent ability and the business model notion can help companies better adapt to change due to the business clock speed.
