Abstract :
C-band, 60 W space TWT of overall efficiency of about 55% has been designed at CEERI for satellite communication system. As the efficiency achieved in this TWT is comparatively less, studies are being carried out to enhance the efficiency of this TWT by evaluating various parameters used for improving the efficiency. This paper present the analyses and studies of various parameters needed for the enhancement of overall efficiency of a space TWT. Simulated results for enhancing the efficiency are presented after analyzing the slow-wave structure (SWS) and pitch profile of the circuit.
