Abstract :
Calcined layered double hydroxides particles were used as adsorbent to remove fluoride ions. Batch adsorption studies were conducted under various equilibrating conditions. The results show that the HTlc calcined at 500°C had the highest capacity of removal of fluoride ions, after adsorption it regenerated to its original layered structure, it is called "memory effect". In field water studies, the F concentration decreased from 11.21 mg/L to 1.26 mg/L.
