Abstract :
A significant percentage of national energy consumption is used for domestic heating purposes yet this usage attracts little development work. The development of fuzzy logic control taking account of linguistic descriptions of systems is well suited to an application where the control goal is that of maximising user “comfort” while minimising cost considerations. The implementation of such techniques is shown to be suited and advantageous to this area
