Abstract :
With the development of digital processing technology and medical radiative testing technology, digital medical image has gained a lot of importance in the clinical diagnosis and remedies by image processing. And edge recognition of pathological changes is one of the most important steps in the processing. Multifractal theory was applied to detect the medical pathological changes in the paper. Compared with conventional digital image processing, the Hölder exponent of image pixels was computed first, then its multifractal spectrum was estimated and different image pixels were classified, smoothing edge point; singular edge point. Based on multifractal theory, the set with both singular edge points and smoothing edge points is the set of image edge points. Experimental results showed that the method of image processing based on multifractal theory was a more effective and more local method. Multifractal theory is a new theory and method under digital image management area, producing great influence on digital image management theory and technology.
