Abstract
In this paper, we explored the practical challenges in implementing mobile business processes today, and proposed a Business Communication Interaction Manager (BCIM) system. With BCIM, mobile users´ application session correlation policies are explicitly enforced using a rule-based session correlator, communication processes are controlled through state machine technology, thus complex and transactional mobile interactions in business processes can be quickly implemented. For case study, we deployed BCIM in a real enterprise environment to enable advanced mobile business processes. Useful insights on behavior of users from the study are gathered, and best practices to improve user experience are discussed.
