Abstract :
The BER perfonnance of the π/4 shift DQPSK modulation with mismatched filtering is evaluated. It is shown that the loss due to the mismatched filtering in the π/4 shift DQPSK modulation of the APCO Project 25 standard can be kept within 0.3dB at BER of 10-5 with a deliberately designed FIR receive filter employed.
