Abstract
Optical motion capture system is widely used in research of biomechanics, ergonomics and entertainment industries. In such system, camera calibration is the most essential process before any data collection. .In the past, calibration process was a time-consuming and cumbersome work to tight budget researchers. In this paper, two commercial digital video cameras and an easy to build calibration frame was used to develop a simple and fast camera calibration technique for three-dimensional space reconstruction. The results verified the designated calibration technique be a cost-effective apparatus to the optical motion capture system for budget limited researchers.
