  • Abstract
A new Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) algorithm, based on the well known Perturb and Observe (P&O) method is presented. The proposed algorithm includes some refinements, as a three point comparison, variable duty-cycle increment and a timed reset of working parameters, allowing a more efficient control of a stand-alone photovoltaic system. The experimental results show the good response and robustness of the algorithm.
