Abstract :
A microstrip active antenna designed using photonic crystals placed inside the oscillator structure to reject undesired harmonics is presented for first time. Experimental results show that an increase of power in the fundamental oscillator frequency can be also observed. Several advanced structures are presented for optimal rejection of the undesired harmonics.
