Abstract :
A system for the realization of thermometric fixed points below 90K based on a closed-cycle He4 refrigerator is described. The goals of the cryostat design, low-temperature operation, instrumentation and data acquisition are explained. The current system is capable of achieving millikelvin (mK) accuracy in fixed-point determination. The significance of fixed-point realization in overall temperature calibration is explained
