Abstract
The reason of selected benchmark bus and slack bus in conventional load flow method is analyzed. The limitation of the conventional load flow method is pointed out. A new method named as real-time load flow method without benchmark bus is presented. A problem of ill-conditioned node admittance matrix caused by ldquoweakness connectionrdquo between system bus and reference bus is solved through conversion from load power to dynamic admittance. The method presented in this paper reflects the fact that arbitrary nodal voltage is determined by all nodal input power. Several numerical examples of IEEE verify the correctness, rationality and better convergence speed of the algorithm presented in this paper.
