Abstract
The aim of the paper is to develop a theoretical analysis and implementation of an active control canceller devoted to eliminate narrow-band vibrations in rotary machines. The proposed system uses a bank of digital adaptive notch filters each of them adjusted by an LMS algorithm. The theoretical results are applied to a vibrating DC motor considered as a benchmark problem. Experimental results reveal that a considerable vibration reduction is achievable
