Abstract :
This paper proposes a method for using meta-analysis to evaluate sleep deprivation effects on performance measures, e.g. reaction time and accuracy, to assess the quantitative relationship between fatigue and performance. The meta-analysis of twenty-six studies reports that the average person in a non-sleep-deprived (control) condition performs 93% better than individuals in the sleep deprived (test) condition.
