  • Abstract
    This paper deals with causality commutations which occur in bond graph models including certain discontinuous or nonlinear elements. How to describe elements with changing causal properties is discussed. A graphical notation and two causality assignment procedures are proposed for variable causality. Then a method for deriving elementary causal equations from a variable causality assignment is developed
