Abstract :
An experimental approach to the general gray model GMHN was adopted in this paper. Using the GM(0,N) model, we analyze the free vibrations of a Timoshenko beam-carrying multiple spring-mass system. The relative weighting between the five lowest natural frequencies generated by inputting the three variables k*, m* and ξ*. First, we used the data and experiments from past literature to derive the data through 693 experiments. The GM(0,N) model was then used to analyze the 693 experimental results in order to determine the relative weighting of the input variables on the natural frequency. The results showed that ξ* >; m* >; k*. The Matlab Toolbox was also used as an aid for calculating and analyzing large amounts of data, providing the field with a new direction for future analysis and experiments.
