Abstract :
A qualitative fuzzy set should be characterized by an elastic membership function that can accommodate a “small amount” of stretching and a limited number of broken points. Such a theory involves two mathematical notions: one is topological and the other is measurement-theoretical. This paper extends previous topological considerations to measurement-theoretical ones
