Abstract :
The Distribution System Analysis Subcommittee (DSASC) has defined a simple test case for neutral-to-earth voltage calculations. This paper presents a solution in the Alternative Transients Program (ATP), with illustrations of both ldquostray voltagerdquo and ldquotemporary overvoltagerdquo. With scripting, stream-oriented editing, and text processing, the ATP may be used to perform sensitivity studies of pole grounding, load unbalance, and other impacts on the neutral-earth voltage.
