Abstract
Intel provides a number of optimized matrix solvers which make it easy to obtain high performance for computational electromagnetics (CEM). The iPSC/860 is a hypercube system which can be configured with up to 128 processors with a peak 64-b performance of 7.6 Gigaflops. The Paragon is a two-dimensional mesh which can be configured with over 1000 processors and a peak spread of over 100 Gflops. A parallel file system is available which distributes files across an arbitrary number of disks.<>
