The Application of Camtasia Studio in the Development of English Online Courseware

Online courseware plays a vital part in e-learning, which is one important form of intelligent environments. To fulfill the requirements of e-learning and intelligent environments, courseware developers often have to receive specialized training. Fortunately, with the popularization of computers and the internet, there have appeared many kinds of easy-to-use software for developing courseware, and Camtasia Studio is one of them. This paper first analyzes several special requirements for developing English courseware, and then introduces the application of Camtasia Studio, which is easy to handle for teachers without specialized training in the development of English online courseware. The paper introduces the main functions of Camtasia studio and shows that Camtasia Studio can meet these requirements.
