  • Abstract
    Performance of a multiband (MB) orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) ultra wideband (UWB) over fiber system is investigated in this paper using an optical double sideband subcarrier modulation that is immune to fiber chromatic dispersion induced RF power fading. It is found that the proposed modulation technique enhances the error vector magnitude (EVM) performance of MB-UWB OFDM and improves the power efficiency by 3 dB compared to optical single sideband subcarrier modulation counterpart.
