Abstract :
A new joint direction of arrivals (DOAs) and direction of departures (DODs) estimation algorithm for bistatic multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) radar is proposed. Instead of two-dimensional nonlinear search or iterative computation, the algorithm uses a one-dimensional search to estimate the DOAs, and then the DODs can be obtained; therefore they can be paired automatically. Furthermore, the algorithm can solve the problem of joint angle estimation when angle ambiguity of DODs occurs. The performance of the proposed algorithm is validated by the simulation results.
