Abstract
This paper presents the results of a project whose main purpose is to analyze the incorporation of new information technologies and communication in university teaching practices and, to study the transformation that, with regard to teaching methods, came from its use, trying to trace the causes that have led to implement or not these tools. The research was conducted through analysis of a case, opting for this method as a qualitative research strategy designed to capture subjective and objective aspects of reality studied and, as a unit of study we selected all subjects and all the theoretical and practical classes that make up the current curriculum of Electromechanical Engineering degree from National Technological University Faculty San Francisco Regional. The results showed that the remarkable view of the main actors, teachers and students, was the incorporation of technology in teaching in university classrooms. These results provide information for policy makers interested in developing or modifying curricula taking into account the use of these tools in the teaching.
