Abstract :
This paper describes a new convex combination equalizer for 3GPP-LTE uplink (SC-FDMA). The overall equalizer can be regarded as a decision-directed (DD) equalizer being anchored by the convex combination equalizer. Then, the constant modulus (CM) algorithm can be smoothly switched to the DD algorithm to achieve improved tracking properties and reduced complexity. Simulation results in fast-fading channel show the fast convergence, low misadjustment and good tracking properties of this equalizer. The LTE uplink simulation also show that this scheme has better tracking performance compared to conventional Decision Feedback Equalization (DFE).
