  • Abstract
    Mel Frequency Cepstral Coefficients (MFCC) computation is required to be done in many speech recognition algorithms. This paper proposes an efficient scheme for MFCC computation. It exploits the triangular structure of the frequency response function of the MFCC filters. The proposed scheme is showing better results in terms of memory requirements and latency. However, slight degradation in recognition accuracy is also observed.
