  • Abstract
This paper illustrates the potential of using projects like IEEEs International Future Energy Challenge as a way to consolidate acquired knowledge and independently deepening it. To do so, the opinion of both a participating student and the supervising professor are stated using the example of the controls of a solar energy system.
