Abstract :
This paper describes a basic frame of flight simulation system based on HLA, introduces two driving modes of simulating aircraft: hand-control and network-control, and explains the basic actions of network-control aircraft implemented the process and methods in detail. Since the mathematics model of flight actions of simulating aircraft is established based on network-control, simulating aircraft can complete tactics actions by receiving data instructions that simulation engine sends. Meanwhile, in order to decrease the data quantity of transmission and reduce the impact of network delay in the distributed flight simulation system, in each aircraft federate node, the author devised dead reckoning (DR) algorithm according to the mathematics models of the basic flight actions based on network-control. Several simulation experiments were conducted. The results show that the experimental data are basically consonant with the data required in tasks and the proposed DR algorithms can achieve a considerable reduction in the number of update packets.
