Abstract
Large regenerative heat exchangers called stoves are used to preheat air for the iron making of blast furnace. To ensure stable furnace operations, it is critical to maintain high hot blast temperature applying automatic combustion control methods. CBR strategy has been shown to be effective and easy to be accepted among various AI applications. This paper describes the practical implementation of CBR strategy for combustion control of blast furnace stoves, including its hardware, instrumentation, architecture and software working procedure.
